What clutch works best in a 1993 CBR900RR? I was thinking of replacing mine and want something with a little more grab.

Stick with stock, much better quality than any other. Buy it on-line through http://www.zanottimotor.com and save about have from what they would charge you at the dealer. My clutch including plates, pads, springs and gasket was $125.00 to my door.

I thought there was a stiffer spring upgrade from Barnette years ago that helped the clutch grab better. Did you go with stock springs or something stiffer?

I believe Barnett springs are stiffer. I would stick to the Honda plates and pads and maybe go with Barnett springs. Also, some thought the Barnett springs were too stiff, so they used a combination of stock and Barnett springs.
I found that after replacing the clutch, the stock springs are pretty stiff. I took a little getting used to after riding so long on the older clutch. My hand got pretty tired in the stop and go traffic around Laguna during the last race weekend. :)

I'm about to change mine. Barnett steels and springs with Veserha fibers. We replace a lot of clutches with this setup and have had good results. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hey thanks. This is the info I'm looking for. My clutch is still useable but at 16,000 miles, it seems to slip just a little if I try to fan it to get on the power hard at lower rpm's. I just remembered my buddies put in this setup years ago to eliminate the slippage.

Got the clutch done. What a friggen ordeal. Mind you this is normally a 5 min job. But, one snaped spring bolt, one snapped sift roller and a bad clutch basket turned it into an all day ordeal.
Inspite of all that, the bike is a beast now. Went with the Barnette/veserha setup. Grabs awsome. It's a bit stiff. I'm gona weigh that on the stiffer springs. Also changed out the detent shift spring to one from a 96 919 motor. (I love working in a bikeyard :) ) Much crisper shifts now. It has an extra coil in the wined witch makes it a bit stiffer over the stock one. Deffinatly recomend it. Mine was poping out of gear on the 1-2 shift a lot.
Took it out for a ride this evening. It's rediculous. Lofts the wheel shifting to second. Got it to spin up out of a left hander today too. Definatly a whole new bike. It's never been this responsive before.

Does the bike feel better when fanning the clutch to get on it hard? If I remember right, it was easier to loft the front wheel on my buddies bike.

Deffinatly, much more feed back and a lot better grip. My riding style is a bit more aggressive. I have a tendency to quick shift through the first few gears and hammer on the clutch. It's takeing the abusse so far.
