If you're going for dunlops then go for the updated Qualifier. If you want more mileage and don't care so much about the slightly improved feel (and you want to save some $$$) then do the D208's
I went from D208's (to Metz) to Qualifier and I like them.
This reminds me of yesterday as I was hosing lighter fluid into my barbecue.:D :D

My only concern is mis-matching the tires. ESPECIALLY if the stickier is on the back, be careful on hard leaning, cause your front's gonna go first, and you never want the front to go!!!
If it's for normal street use, you should be fine. Just be aware of the possibility of the front going out before the rear. I've heard good things about the Qualifier and nothing but bad things about the 208s, if that helps any. I don't run Dunlops, had a bad experience with some a while back, swore off the brand. Their stick-to-slide is not consistent, IMHO.

I have run the 208's on the street and they hold up well, but I think i am gonna go for the Diablos for the next change. i hear they are real good

gixer, thanks for speaking up about matching tires.
I had always heard that mix and match tires affects handling and other assorted stuff on a vehicle with "only" two contact patches.

I haven't liked a set of Dunlops since the old 204's. THOSE WERE AWESOME tires for back in the day. But now, you get a much better tire from someone else and cheaper. I absolutely love my Metzler ME1's, I think I am going to try the ME3's next. (I think that is the new one above the Sportech right?)

But do the Me3's come in a 16 front ? That is what kills me for tires and I can't afford to slap a 17 on the front. Well I could, but the wiffey would not be happy

tis true...the only way a " mismatch " works is the same tyre different compound ( i.e. soft front medium rear )
belive it or not the tyres you use can greatly affect braking, handling, stability, fuel consumption, and others........always match your tyres.............and no a tyre rated for sport touring will not compliment a sport tyre even if they are of the same company ( i.e. d220 front and a 209 rear ) different compounds different tyre......bad results

Yep you can get the Me3 in a 16inch I just picked up mine today it was on backorder for awhile I can't give you guys a reveiw for both front and rear cuase I looped my bike over backwards and it is not rideable but I know there 180/55 rear Me3 kicks ass for real that thing hooks up nice and has great feedback.
