HI guys just a question to all you experts on the forum as i would not trust any one in the local bike shop!!!
I recentely got a lovely jardine exhaust and i got it fitted today but when i was riding home i noticed that there seemed to be a flat spot now with all my other bikes i have used scorpion cans so i never had to worry ...
But a friend of mine said i mite need a power commander???Now i have an idea wat it is it plugs into the ecu and you can control the fuelling with it???
And my friend says you dont need to put it on a rolling road to get it right you just get the settings on your computer???What exactly is this power commander? are they expensive? are they hard to fit?
As you can see i am confused at the minute and would greatly appreciate any advice on the subject:CONF

All you did was a "slip on" right? If that is the case then there should be no real need for the power comander. But you would still benefit from one. But you guessed correctly, you plug it into the wire harness and it works along witht the ECU/Brain of the bike to make the fuel mapping different.
I say this....just ride it around for about a 1000 miles or so and let the stock Brain of the bike retweek itself to work with the exhaust. It should do that.

Cool tanx for the FACTS... Yip it was indeed just a slip on... Ill do that i will just drive around for a thousand mls or so and see what happens it certainly feels as if its a bit faster...How much bhp gain would you get from a jardine exhaust???

Generally, 3~7hp. But that's just average. I don't know exact specs for that can. They are really nice cans though! Pictures of it!!! :D

I would have to disagree about NOT having a power commander. I suggest you install one as the flat spot is created becuase of the variance in the exhaust. The PC III will allow you to adjust the fuel ratio ie injector pulse width.

VERY easy on here. When you're typing a message, scroll down until you see a "Manage Attachements" button. Click it and a new window will pop up with Browse buttons on it. Click that, find the image you want to use on your hard drive or wherever, and then click upload. Then submit message.

Never had a problem in AZ... And Rob's pipe used to be so stupid loud I figured we'd have to get pulled over some night. No problems whatsoever. I think tickets like that only happen in rural places and/or locations where cops crack down heavily on silly stuff like that. Not here. We don't even get jaywalking tickets anywhere.
Harley guys run straight pipes out here...
