I have just bought like 2 weeks ago, a 1994 blade, was orignally for the road but now im going to make it into a stunt bike.
But im buying another blade 1997, so i can use that for the road.

List of mod's to do to 94 blade.

GSXR k1 tail conversion
maybe a turbo
crash bars
paintjob
polish frame
bigger rear sprocket
dent the tank, oh no.
cut a hole in the rear seat and have it stiched up.
renthals
more pegs
braided hoses
another rear brake caliper.

Question;
shall I keep the front fairing on, bearing in mind they will be protected by the crashbars. I've seen a 954 with this done and it looks good.

I was at a bike show last week end, there were some stunters there. Their bikes were beat all to heck, even the 600rr was in terrible shape. These guys were so hard on the bikes that they were changing the crash bars after the show. So unless you are a superb stunter and don't crash a lot, making a stunter look good might be a waste of time.

yea theres really no way to keep a stunt bike looking good...they always look like crap unless the guy has to bikes one for show and one for practice but the every day stunt bike looks like shhhiiittt

but its not about how good your bike looks, its how good your tricks look.

oh ok thanks guy's.

See im still a newbie when it comes to stunting.

but I can pull wheelies, although not very good at the moment I will get better at it, just like i used to pull them on the old moped i had the balence point right and everything. :p

I've watched tutorials/ videos of people teaching you how to do a few stunts, like burnouts while the bike is turning in circles. circle burnout. :)

Stoppies I am afraid to do, but im sure i will get used to it. :reallyscared

I'd love to be able to do a high chair circle wheelie though. :D

I want to prep the bike first, then i will start to learn how to do it properlly.

And i do know a stunt rider. His name is gyln and he is in the 444 riders stunt group. Its a stunt team in the UK. He does the same bike mechanics course as me, I saw him work on his stunt bike, then when it was finished he did a little "show for us". I'm going to ask him how to do a few tricks.

The best way to learn is go out and ride with him,not just talk.Someone can tell you all day long about brake control, but when it comes down to it, the "Oh shit" factor comes in to play and it is overwhelming when you are first starting out.Let me give you my 2cents on your 1st stunt bike setup:strip all body work off it,put a cage on it,get a GOOD helmet, cut the ends off your clutch and front brake lever's,and get a chest protector, elbow and shin pads. You may want to get some of the cheap footpegs off ebay and cut an inch or so off them and install them as well.Even with a cage, the stockers are too long and when it falls over you will break those expensive hard to come by rear sets!I will be more than happy to give you any help you need...just ask buddy!
-Don't do the big sprocket yet either,it makes the throttle too touchy! (this is for later when you get better)
-do not put a rear handbrake on it yet either, you need to get used to the foot brake first.trust me on this!

oh right cheers.

yeah i just want to turbo one of my bikes at some stage. :p

Ok that sounds like a good idea, i can put the fairings away then.

I have added 2 teeth to the rear on my 400, and that really made a difference.
So ok i will buy a bigger sprocket and wont fit it yet.

As for the extra hand brake operated caliper, what is this mainly for?
i can understand that using the foot operated one is a good idea, why do stunt riders add the extra caliper?

It's for when your right foot cannot reach the rear brake pedal, such as sitting-on-the-tank wheelies... Or whatever else is going on...

+1 what jawhn said! when you buy your sprocket combo just go 1 down in the front(if you haven't allready) then just add a couple in the back 2-3 max for now.I have a 60 tooth thrust company that I don't even use.Its retarded.I am runnin -1 in the front and a stock rear and I can do everything in the book except for multiple circles,I can do a few in a row but thats when the bigger sprocket comes into play.I tried the 60 tooth but it was taking to long to get used to.It is fuckin ridiculously touchy! The very best tip I can give you is...wear as much gear as you possibly can and practice, practice, practice, practice, then when you think you are done ...practice some more.lol
