I think image tags work in this section of the forum, so this is
How To Be Sad You Sold Your Bike, A Pictorial Story

I miss The Slut so bad right now. So, so bad.

Chronological order, from the CycleTrader ad's picture to the trailer it left in, from stock & boring to stripped & shrill to boosted & blown up:

I just wish now that I could stick to wanting one vehicle. And I wish I had the money to buy it. Right now I miss riding. So I'm pining away for a new R1 (today I like the yellow the most) with a little bit of spray.

Ah, look at that... another IMG TAG that doesn't work...

Apparently www.r1-forum.com doesn't like people linking to their images unless they're a member...

The R1 picture that's part of the nitrous equation doesn't work? Hmmm... Works for me over here. I guess I don't suck at life. :D

You do suck at internet IMG posting skills, though. :EG

You have to be a member of that forum to see it. Safe guess you're a member. :z Just letting you know that everyone that's not a member can't see it.

I'm thinking this is the thread I need to be in.

I miss my 900 too....

pass the cheese.

BTW, still don't know how you could have done all that work to it and parted with it. I understand frustration, but man, you had a turbo on that beast.

How much longer until a new bike?

I lacked money. Having a broken bike is worse than not having any bike at all. At least nonexistent bikes don't cost money, take up garage space, and look sad.

New bike some time after I get my next guvmint job. Whenever that is.

Make sense. GL w/ the job search.

Have you gone out to ride the bike, only to realize that you don't have a bike? I did it a few times. not a good feeling. Get all excited to ride, step out in the garage, and at first you think the bike was stolen, and then you remember, "oh yea, I dont' have a bike".

Another good one is when you start talking to someone about bikes and then they ask what you ride, and you say "I dont' have one, sold it". I feel like I've turned into that "guy" that used to have a bike, but doesn't anymore. Which technically is true, but none the less very frustrating.

edit: So after typing this, I check out CL and the my old 900 (http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/895058090.html) is up for sale... just adds to the pain of withdrawl

I just thought about it, the real irony would be if the guy that bought your bike became a member of the Zone.:CY

He is. Was looking for turbo 900RR info, came across my thread, joined the board. So first bike sold over this board? Lots of instant messaging, emails, and facebook befriending though. Not a clearly defined RRzone-only sale.

Sold a bike in 78' and still not over it. Time does not help heal when it comes to my bike, have a chance to buy it back now, and just might! Sad thing it was a kawi. No headaches, quick, fast, didn't argue, loved the ladies, frikin Lesbian, I miss her. Merry Christmas everyone!
