I took my bike out down a back road and opened it up a little today. I was running about 115 by the odometer and it started missing. I had the throttle opened about a quarter to half when it started missing. I tried hitting it a few times and it was consistent. I was in top gear when i tried opening it up.

Long time without use? Any other symptoms? I don't understand your comment when on full throttle. Consistent means it ran smootly or continued to miss? What about idling?

Sounds like a blocked main jet. It would do the same at wider throttle openings in lower gears.

Remove the fuel gauze filter from the tank, check it's OK. if it's fine, take carbs apart and blow out the jets, if it's torn then replace it or add an auxillary fuel filter, and clean the carbs. There's a great carbs 101 on this board if you don't know how to do that.

it has a full tank of gas, less than a week old. If it quits raining for more than a minuite at a time I will get video.

finaly got a chance go for another ride. And it is missing threw the lower gears also. Pulling the tank off to check the filter under the tank. Then hopefully not pulling the carbs. But the sticky on carb cleaning is going to help out if i do.
