battery voltage good. i have power from starter switch to starter relay. Relay is clicking but extremely fast. no cranking. R/R is warming up. slight corrosion on relay connections. fuse for ignition good. not sure on condition of engine control module. last started year and half ago.... please ask questions so i can clarify.... Going to test power and grounds to all switches and relays tomorrow. Im thinking it has something to do with the starter cable. any suggestions are much appreciated.

So it looks like it was a dead battery I went and had it tested and was putting out 9v. I bought a new one, and a tester.
Now the motor tries to turn over but won't run. I think I may have left some gas in the carb/bowls. Would that keep the engine from turning over. Would it be that the jets are clogged?
I want this thing up and running under it's own power in 3 weeks. It is a tight deadline and I am sure it will be many long nights and early mornings.

sounds like cleaning carbs is your best first start @ least the jets

Well I finally got it to turn over last night.....phewwwwww........
It took about 20 tries but she runs. I am still going to clean the carbs which really does seem like a good idea. I have a buddy bringing over a compression test kit tonight to assess the internals. If they are good then I am good.

Saw this too late to help, but it seems like 99% of the time, it's a dead battery that "measures right"...
Buy yourself a $30 mini Battery Tender, and leave it hooked up when parked. Been my electrical salvation for like 4+ years, now... :z
