I was looking for a cheap used screen as a spare for track day use when i came across this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Double-Bubble-Screen-For-Honda-CBR-900-RR-919-98-99_W0QQitemZ170440959761QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item27af12a711

I purchased one and it is of excellent quality-as good as the genuine Honda screen I have fitted. Under £20 with free postage. They have other stuff too, such as seat cowls, but only for later models unfortunately. They also sell a range of brake discs, pads and adjustable levers, but not sure I would buy them-Chinese plastics maybe good, but not sure about more important parts that my life would depend on.

And before any one starts any moralistic standpoint about 9 year olds making these in Chinese factories, take a look at what you are wearing. Clothing made in China, India, Turkey and Indonesia are all probably made with child labour, and there is more demand for them than plastic screens.

Is it somewhat transparent? :CONF It looks like it's completely black.

Depending on answer, I may have to grab me one of these! Thanks for the link.

It is transparent with a dark tint. When I saw the photo on ebay I assummed the screen would be a non transparent black, and made from plastic. I purchased it anyway-it was intended just for track use, so if it was a solid colour, it would have been OK.

Not fitted it yet (bike is parked up at work) but it measures up against the genuine Honda screen I have in my garage.

After reading the thread about a cheap radial master cylinder, it has reinforced my opimion of pattern brake parts and levers.

I have a taller screen on mine which works really well at deflecting air flow over my head-ideal for high speed road work. Shame it looks pink in colour now! I feel a spray of gloss black paint is due soon!

I ordered a dark smoked one from Zerogravity off ebay. According to tracking info, it's at the house right now. It was just 39.99. It's a "second" but for what I do, that is fine. Vinyl lettering I ordered arrived as well so I can put both on at same time.
