Hi, this is my first post. I have a 2005 Repsol CBR1000RR and I am considering replacing the can with a Micron Delta. I assume this means removing the computer controlled butterfly valve, and would like to know if anybody has experience of doing this, and whether this leads to any problems with running.

I've got an '04 1000RR and I keep finding myself looking at that Hotbodies Racing undertail kit (that includes the muffler) waaay too much lately... but i am hesitant, for the same reason. I wish they just had a decent looking undertail for the 1000RR that keeps the stock pipe. I've seen a couple but they look like crap. That hotbodies sure is sweet tho. hmm a "racing" tail with integrated turn signals and included tag bracket... wow racing rules must have changed alot lately ;)

Don't buy a system where you have to remove the buttefly valve. It's there to boost midrange power, so unless you're only going to ride on the track where midrange isn't too critical, keep the stock pipe until you can find a pipe that replaces the can only.
