I have a 1998 900 double r, I was looking to chrome my swing arm, I found one in the local classified ads, in the ad it says it will fit a 96-97, but I believe all of the 900rr are the same. So will it fit my '98? Thanks

Actually, sorry to disagree, but 96-99 are NOT the same. I have this info in a Honda "what's new for 98", 900RR brochure. Can email it to you if you need it.
Honda came out with a revised swingarm design for the '98 900RR, featuring a stronger, tapered side section. Although you can fit a 96-97 swingarm to your 98 bike, because I have a 99 swingarm on my 95! But the 96-97 swingarm that is chromed will not look the same as the swingarm you have on your bike now because the side sectioning is different. Cheers. |
