Gotta keep this short cause I'm at work... But here's some pics from this weekend. I had a great time, but got pretty sunburned and am super sore from riding close to 9 hours.

Dave - you want to post about our "drywall adventure" or should I? That scared the crap out of me... Glad we were able to avoid it!

Pics! (in no particular order at all - hover pointer over thumbnail for the filename, that's the closest you're going to get for a caption for now...)

    Jawhn, No problem.
Yes, scary stuff cause, to me it's, here we go which way does it bounce(literaly) this time?
First, did Chriss and Barb hook up with their truck and make it back ok?
After the racs on sunday, Jawhn and I are rollin' out the I-10 somewhere around Riverside at about 75 or 80 and this pick-up with ladder racks in front of us starts sheding plaster board. Oh S***which way is it going to go?
Thinking about it later, I was greatful it was not playwood or fiberboard. The plaster board started breaking up as soon as it hit the road. If one shot was not enough the a***** doesn't pull over or off and 1/2 a mile further on here comes another one. At least it was not a surprise this time.
Jawn, that is why I pulled in behind that truck. Let him hit it first.
Yes, it was a fun week-end. Even with the disappointment of the lack most of the vendors on the midway.

Oh, God!!! Those pics of me are hideous!!! YUK!! I gotta start working out more!!! But yes, Barb and I made it to San Diego where my truck met me from Yuma. A friend drove it for me and picked us up. The bike ran fine all the way to San Diego!!!

I think it was bad gas or water in the tank or something like that. Cuz I never had a problem with it NOT starting after it would die!! And I rode it to work today! So I think the damn thing either doesn't like the wife anymore (it only did it with her on the back). Or I had run thru that tank of crappy watery gas.

But the races themselves were fun LOTS of EYE CANDY!!!!!!

I am at work so I gotta get back to it.

    Late.
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, beer in the other, body used up, totally worn-out and screaming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"

The thing that tripped me out was how much like a playing card the 4'x8' drywall sheet looked. Just flipping around in the air, and in my head I'm like "Which way is it going? Left? Right?" The whole time easing on the brakes. The second sheet was scarier, but luckily by then we knew what was going on and had slowed down a bit.

I switched lanes because after I saw you go right, I saw him pull in front of you a few cars up, and I didn't want to hit any pieces should he release another one... I figured two lanes to the left was safer...

You got out of the way of the first one pretty fast, though. I was impressed. It shattered into a weird display of chunks as my ass ate my shorts in fear and I was making sure I had room on my right side if I needed to get over... I guess that made up for the lack of lane-splitting scares we must have missed... Traffic was excellent on the ride out...

Speed, good to hear you got home ok. As to weather the bike likes the lady or not, that sounds personal and unsafe, I'll pass on my opinion.
Yea, Jawhn, we got a bounce and survived this one.
Glad to hear that going home went ok.
