    Default My streetfighter project

    Baught the bike about a year ago,'97 blade,was very clean,wasnt long before i got bored of the drops and plastics ha,so i stripped it down and got started..
    Have the swingarm and frame polished
    K8 Gsxr 1000 tailpiece
    R1 complete front end and hugger
    929 rear wheel/brakes
    Gold renthals
    Havnt decided on what im gonna do with exhaust yet!!!

    Will get pics up of the build as soon as i can..

    Welcome, and can we get a write up on the R1 frontend conversion.
    You know how it is when you lean back too far in your chair and almost fall backwards, but save yourself at the last second? I feel like that all day.

    i have a k8 tail on my blade also
    but i am putting a k6 gsxr 1000 front end on it
    through up a few pics

    my buddy is in the middle of fitting the R1 front end as we speak,will get writ up on it when its done...and dont worry as soon as i get my own computer fixed ill have pics up ok

    Sweet!, im doing a rear tail donversion on my 900RR as we speak. Adding the 04-06 R1 Tail with undertail exhaust.
    See other forums for the pics of progress.
    I had to basically re constrruct the battery box and sub tail frame.
    Also added the D&d pipe I already had, modding it to fit within the new tail dimensions into the factory tail.

    Yes, definitely do a writeup on the frontend conversion. I've been debating changing mine for something else (something that might hide that oil cooler behind the headlight holes)

    couldnt get bearings the correct size to fit the R1 pin in the blade headstock....so what im doin is use'n a 929 top/bottom yolk with the R1 forks ...sorted

    sorted out a photobucket page,but every time i copy a pic across it just comes up as a load of crappy text ????
