Default Cheap Universal LED Flasher Relay

I thought I'd share this as my 1st how to. Rather than fork out for blade-specific relay I decided to make a cheap, 2.79, relay fit my bike. I'm not a fan of chopping wires if I don't have to so the old relay can be plugged back in any time.
It's a fairly simple mod, more of a proof-of-concept for me

OK, so I bought the relay off eBay.

Wasn't really sure what the lettering was, I guessed Load, Earth and B....alls. Irrelevant anyways.
I crimped some spade connectors onto some wire, slotted them onto the relay contacts and bared the other ends.

Popped the screen off and removed the existing flasher relay:

Inserted the bare wires and voila. Worked on my 2nd combination, lucky me
Turns out the RRX relay is ELB with the notch at the right.

I taped it all up and seated the relay somewhere snug behind the clocks.
They flash a bit slower with stock bulbs but I'm custom making some LEDs for the back and preliminary tests indicate they speed it up a little bit.
It DOES NOT detect a blown bulb, so if you're using normal bulbs you'll need to keep an eye out
I'll post up when I've made my LEDs for the back too

I learned something new today. I didnt know special relays would prevent hyper flashing with led. really I dont mind the cut and splice/soldering as long as you do it right besides my bike came with led tails and the wires were previously cut. I just added load resistors and the light out hyperflash still works
