    Default Familiar with 2008 fairings?

if anyone has a 2008 1000, are removal of the fairing anything difficult? Like special tools needed or things like those plastic clips that need to be replaced after removal? My friend just got one of these and a one of those ebay fairing kits, I might offer to do it for him if there is nothing I am going to be slowed down by.

Very time consuming. No special tools needed, just a lot of time and patience.

thanks, I did a search plus checked out his bike after we went for a ride yesterday. It seems like as long as I have the manual it won't be as bad as some people complain.

The inner fairings are the most difficult thing to work with, easy on those little black clips.
