You're messing with me, right? This isn't Twilight Zone and I'm not schizophrenic, making up imaginary friends, right? I've seen my own bones and torn ligaments but don't remember any recent concussions.

Sadly, Jawhn is long gone. It's not the Zone it used to be. Haven't seen a posting from you either in a dog's age. Nobody getting beat up or shot.

But I still come here first, almost every day. Creature of habit I guess.

Hey! I thought you were in Dubai, UAE, somewhere out there? How're things?

I'm on the injured list right now. During weekly training, one of our swat dogs hit me low, dislocated my right knee. I have lax ligaments, so I'm prone to dislocations but generally without long term effects like torn ligaments or needing surgery or a hospital trip. I tried to shove it back in as soon as I hit the ground but I was tied up with the dog. When the scenario reached its natural conclusion and the dog was off me, I tried again and got the knee in but I could see my kneecap over on the side of my leg bulging through my pants. Yep, hospital time. And I'm not driving myself this time. Weird being on this side of a hit.

It made my girlfriend happy though. She got a little vindication regarding a fight we had in my hand surgeon's office when I convinced him to let me back on full duty. I promised him id take it easy but losing my spot on the unit (in the above paragraph) was inconceivable. He believed me; she didn't. So I got to go back to full duty and got to keep my spot. And within a few weeks got broken in half, just like she said. The reason why I had a hand surgeon in the first place was because the night of the Super Bowl I severed a motor nerve in my right hand while vaulting a barbed wire fence running a guy down. So that's slowly been recovering from paralysis too while I wait on my knee. I'm extremely bored.

It was Abu Dhabi, but then I moved to South Africa and to Australia. A guy's gotta eat, and to eat I need a job. So followed the opportunities as they came up. Then left Oz for Seoul to join an old friend. It has been pretty good here as far as the job is concerned. Only issue is carrying a bit of grief around because of some personal shit when I was getting ready to leave Oz. But like I said, things are pretty good here.

Had a '98 'Blade in Abu Dhabi, and basically gave it away when I tried to sell it. Funny thing is I bought a near identical '98 in Oz. Even had about the same mileage. I've brought it to Korea with me. Came through Customs no problem, insured it and got it registered. Then failed my rider test, hahaha. Take a look here http://www.rrzone.com/forums/showthr...-But-Necessary

Paralysed hand plus a wobbly knee from friendly fire. That sucks big time. I'm guessing that what hurts the most is the girlfriend being right. Guess you should have made the dog promise to take it easy, too. So now take it easy, get up to 100% and win back your place on the team!

Putting many miles on the S1000RR?

You're everywhere. That's pretty cool though. Id like to travel and go to the non-touristy places, but just haven't gotten around to it. Always been busy somehow with something. Living in a variety of countries would be an experience.

Not a lot of time on the bike. I rode it the day before I got my knee popped, and had a great time. My hand was good enough that the scar tissue from surgery wasn't hurting too much. Just recently has my knee's swelling & tightness gone down enough to where I can bend my knee enough to ride. So the girlfriend & I have taken it out on our days off. Just in time for the Arizona summer to begin to dial up the heat. Our riding season is the opposite of most places: too hot in the summer, but great in the winter.

Got a new toy to keep myself busy:

Got another Porsche 944 to go with my overly stiff and overly low 944turbo street car. The gray car will be the race car. I want to run the NASA Rally Open 2WD class (NASA the racing organization, not the space administration), and double dip in one of the road course classifications. Gotta touch up on the class specs a little better to see how to be most competitive in each environment.

I figure Jawhn will come back. The Zone is like Hotel California . . . you can check out but you can never leave !!! Plus he's got all those video games he collects I am sure he is on a huge gamer binge trying to play all of them.

    Sweet baby cheeses!
I leave you guys alone here for a few months and look what happens!!!

You know how it is when you lean back too far in your chair and almost fall backwards, but save yourself at the last second? I feel like that all day.

    BLADEMAN GETS IT

Sorreh, fellas, I dove into a new hobby and my CBR900RR's still running great, and I sorta... Slid into the dark side of... Arcade Games.

I get emails on occasion from people looking for the F4i faceplates, I still have tons, and haven't even done the mod to my bike.

My email is rrzone at (myusername) dot com.

Felt like checking in today, for no apparent reason. Looks kinda dead here. You guys need to post more silly shit. Silly shit is what keeps forums alive.

Miss the old days. I actually chatted with Bikerdave a few weeks ago. Haven't seen Rob in ages.

I'll try to check in now and again... Sorry for the absence.

    Silly shit is way underrated.

Have you found any plaid arcade games?

    I have not.

Sounds like I need to make one, huh...

I do have a few that need painting. If it wasn't 110 degrees out, I'd be tempted to start right now. I've amassed over 50 arcade games in the past few years.
