    Default 2000 Cluster

    Hi I've got a 2000 929 and the cluster has seem to gone dead. No tach, speed, coolent temp, nothing but the high beam indicator light works and blinkers? Please help

    Sorry. No clue. But it wouldn't hurt to start tracing wires and checking connectors.

    So I shouldn't assume that it just went bad and replace it because it could be connector or bear wire

    Instead of buying a replacement and finding it doesn't work either, I would invest the time and effort in performing a thorough check. And you will get to know your bike better at the same time.

    GHBZorro is right, it may be as simple as a loose wire, blown fuse , or yeah it's smoked; then go spend the $$ for a new(ish) one. I am no electrical guy but did you happen to notice any warning signs looking back? Smell of something burning, is anything melted, has the dash come loose, any moisture inside the screen, OR did you go out to it one day and "CRAP nuthin' " ?

    Electrical stuff is a bit hard to trace but with some patience and probably some Youtube visits you might be able to find out what the heck happened.
